There are many ways to workout, as we all know, but I am about to present one of the most potent methods around-
Ever wondered why swimmers and gymnasts are so lean? It is not due to tons and tons of cardio, it is from doing routines. A one-minute routine can be tougher than sprinting for 20 seconds as fast as you can. Routines can also work the entire body, which can do more for you than just save you time.
My training includes strength routines. For example, take a kettlebell and do as many different lifts as you can in a minute and have them tie together seamlessly. You will not believe how hard a one or two minute routine can be. I would not go any longer than that, although you can practice your routine more than once in a workout.
YOU CAN FIND ACTUAL TRU – STRENGTH “ROUTINES” DONE BY ELITE ATHLETES AS WELL EXAMPLES FOR BEGINNER’S RIGHT HERE
I also use Gymnastic Rings in most of my routines. A sample workout might look like this:
1a. Kettle Bell Swings (15 seconds each arm)
1b. Ring Push-ups (30 seconds)
2a. Burpees (30 seconds)
2b. Ring Pull-ups / Hang (30 seconds.. Pull – Ups til failure then hang for remaining time)
Do this for 15 minutes with a 60 second break after 2 (or 3) complete rounds non-stop. Brutal but very effective at building TRU-STRENGTH…
Next up… Training with Ropes (perhaps the most punishing tool I use) !
Until Then, Keep Training Like an Athlete !
