USA Olympic Development Training Camp for Wrestlers-  Massillon, OH

The first ever US Olympic Development Training Camp of 2012.

This camp format is the brain-child of world-renowned, 3-time Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Coach, Bobby Douglas. It is designed to identify, select, and facilitate the wrestlers seeking to dominate, internationally for 2020!

Because of the anticipated-demand, enrollment has been limited – this camp is designed for wrestlers competing in the FILA Nationals at Akron University
June – 1-2 3, and for Team Ohio (Fargo) candidates training for the Fargo Nationals in July.

This event will be held in Uniontown, OH at Lake Highschool / Athletic Complex.  The camp will run Sunday May 27 – May 30 – every evening from 6 – 8 pm (note: campers attend the 4th consecutive day for free. There will be an individual-match tournament at the end of every session. This camp will also serve as selection for The American Wrestling Development Program which is being sponsored by the Navy SEALS in efforts to improve fitness levels in high schools, nationally, and to recruit more minorities into the Naval Special-Warfare Community. The age group is from elementary school and up to, including college-age (FILA). The camp will explore many critical areas of championship-development including, technique, cross-training, superior-hydration, and whole-food concentrates for the achievement of maximum -nutrition.

The camp will also be filmed by Giant Leap Pictures as part of the “the Bobby Douglas Story.”

Among the staff will be Coaches Mike Mattingly & Dave Cline (Stark County WC), Coach Tom Roehlig ( Tru-Strength Performance Center) who will be assisted by Coach Rae-Rae (Stark County WC) in administering the ‘Tru-Strength” Gauntlet, designed to prepare candidates for the Navy SEAL Fitness Challenges which are contested annually at 13 regional sites ( Los Angeles – San Diego – New Orleans – Miami – Norfolk – Philadelphia – Pittsburgh – New York – Detroit – Chicago – Phoenix – Santa Clara – San Jose).
